San Martín de los Andes was founded on 4th February 1898, on lands that belonged to the Curruhuinca Mapuche community. Today it continues to preserve some aspects of a traditional mountain village. Its inhabitants have contributed to keep a balance between the urban development, especially its architecture and the natural environment, by the use of materials characteristic of the area, such as stone and wood. The town lies at the foot of the mountains in the heart of Patagonia and here we invite you to visit “La Casa de Eugenia”. Enjoy an unforgettable stay surrounded by natural beauty. When you arrive you will find yourself far away from the hustle and bustle of city life with the majestic mountains and beautiful Lake Lacar as your constant companions.

Isolated from the main land until the 19th century, it has a distinct culture steeped in mysticism. We visit the city of Ancud with its classic Chilota architecture and iconic wooden churches and stop at the regional market with its colourful array of products. Check-in at Tierra Chiloe Hotel. The hotel is located amid the blue waters of Chile’s Northern Patagonia, on this mythical island, dotted with picturesque fishing villages. The beauty of this destination is as much in the landscape as it is in the island residents with their deep-rooted culture and timeless traditions. In true Tierra style, the lodge’s distinctive architecture is in-step with its breathtaking surroundings and comes complete with its own boat, the “Williche”, for navigating the inland waters. With only 12 guest rooms, the property continues in the footsteps of Tierra Atacama and Tierra Patagonia by offering exceptional experiences and personalized service to its guests.
