Do You Feel You Live Fully When You Travel?

Live Fully, while travelling. That's the new approach from APT. I must admit it's a new style of holiday experience from this remarkable company.

Next week we are hosting two presentations where Kellee from APT will reveal the exact benefits of Live Fully travel. Details are further down the page.

- Nilla and I are in Perth as it's time for her 3-month post-operation check-up. Very confident of an all-clear from the surgeon based on how good Nilla is feeling.
- Last week I wrote about sustainable tourism. This week I wanted to share a rather unique and popular way that a company in Holland is making a lasting experience for clients. Personally, I feel it is such a creative, valuable idea that I hope catches on in other cities around the world.
- If you have come across or are aware of great sustainable tourism companies, then please do let me know thanks.
- This week I thought long and hard about what to share, that is different from the usual style of travel experiences. The one that stands out the most is Oberammergau Passion Play in 2020.

The year is 1633, and the villagers of Oberammergau, Southern Germany, after months of suffering and death from the plague, vowed to put on ‘Play of the Suffering, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ’ every ten years. Click below to discover more...

Break The Silence!
Let's Talk Plastic Fishing...

With our waterways and oceans in desperate need of rescuing due to the plastic pollution pandemic, it's time for us whether we are at home or as a tourist abroad to be more sustainable.

This is especially important for the here and now, to be able to stop further damage, and to ensure our future generations will have the opportunity to view the world and oceans as we love and know it...

New Sustainable Eco Friendly Activity

Plastic fishing is a new eco-friendly activity that is gaining momentum on the canals of Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

It is part of a growing number of initiatives launched with Amsterdam authorities to direct tourists to alternative activities to ease the pressure on the cities’ top sites.

Dutch company Plastic Whale runs the cruises, and more than 20,000 people have gone on a plastic fishing mission so far.

John was fortunate to see a similar Plastic Whale concept last year during his trip to Brussels! This is what he had to say...

"The white image is a whale made from plastics removed from the ocean. This is on the canals in Brugge. Well worth the 8 Euro and 30 mins"

Founder Marius Smit said that Plastic Whale managed to collect 46,000 plastic bottles with the help of thousands of amateur fisherman last year.

You may be interested to learn the boats used in the tours come from the plastic bottles that get recovered from the canals.

All the collected plastics get recycled into furniture.

This is a great initiative in creating awareness for locals and tourists alike.

We highly recommend checking out this sustainable activity in one of the most beautiful and popular European destinations to tick off your bucket list.

All Taken Care Of So You Can Live Fully

Kellee from APT will share in detail precisely what Live Fully means to your travel.

You can ask as many questions as you want and interact with APT clients. Who knows what you might learn?
