Youngest Person to Travel to Every Country!

How about being the youngest person to travel to all 196 countries in the world? And this young lady is only only 21 years old. However it has not been all beer and skittles…

“I’ve been working through extreme anxiety for the past six-plus months overcoming the obstacles that go along with getting into some of the least accessible places in the world.” Read more about this incredible achievement below.

Can You Relate To All 7 Lessons?

Lesson 6 is something I struggled with a lot in my earlier years… Travel makes you more patient. Who can’t relate to this lesson especially when caught in the traffic in Ciro at 1:30 am. It’s crazy even at this time of night. Watch the video, it is so on the money in my mind.

Too Safe For My Own Good!

Last week I shared how Nilla and I expected to be back in Albany by the weekend. As you can gather thats not happened. Fingers crossed we will be home sweet home on Monday afternoon.

The reason for our delay was on Wednesday, I spoke with my brother in New Zealand who is minding our Mum who is challenged with Alzheimer’s. She is very close to having to go into a care facility.

So I thought I would fly home and see her while she can still remember me. The problem is, when I came to Perth 4 weeks ago for Nilla’s hip operation, I did not expect to be traveling overseas. So of course I did not bring my passport which is kept securely in our safe at home.

I booked my tickets thinking I can ask a friend to follow my instructions over the phone, on how to work the combination lock. More than 3 hours of trying plus several google videos on “how to open this type of safe” and still my passport is inside. Which is where it will stay until I get home!

My lesson is if you have a safe, make sure you leave clear instructions with family or a friend who can open it.

The interesting thing for me was I was sure I had given this to my son when we went Europe for that “just incase” situation…

Harvey our nearly 3 year old grandson, is putting on the “grandad come on and play with me” Watch the video.

I can’t resist Harvey, especially as we are heading home shortly.
So please feel free to share this newsletter with your family and friends. Enjoy your weekend no matter what it involves.
