DAY 1: Arrive Lima

DAY 2: Lima City Tour

Screen Shot 2015 11 06 at 3.40.24 PMSpend some time touring Lima city, the Colonial ‘City of Kings’. Visit a number of well-known sites including the Cathedral, the Presidential Palace, the Plaza de Armas and the Catacombs located beneath the San Francisco Convent. Overnight at Westin Lima

DAY 3: Lime to Cusco

DAY 4: Cusco

Qorikancha Temple of the Sun, the 12-Angled Rock and the Cathedral, built on the ruins of an Inca Palace. From here head to the archaeological remains located around the city, including the ancient site of Puca Pucara and the Water Temple of Tambomachay. Overnight in Palacio del Inca Cusco

DAY 5: Full day tour of the Sacred Valley

There is free time to wander the colourful market stalls before a typical Andean lunch at a local restaurant. Continue your journey along the River Urubamba, to Ollantaytambo. The town, which is dominated by a giant Inca fortress, is perhaps the best surviving example of Inca town planning and was the scene of a rare Inca victory over the invading Spanish. At the end of the tour you will be transferred to your hotel in the Sacred Valley. Overnight at Tambo del Inca Sacred Valley

DAY 6: Full day Machu Picchu / Return to Cusco

Enjoy a guided tour of the ruins and monuments such as the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three

Windows and the Cemeteries. Return to Aguas Calientes by bus and onto Cusco, arriving late

evening. Overnight in Palacio del Inca Cusco


DAY 7: Free day Cusco

Vibrant markets and stores give the traveller a plethora of shopping opportunities set amongst fine Inca and Spanish colonial architecture. Overnight in Palacio del Inca Cusco

DAY 8:Andean Explorer Train Journey from Cusco

During this full-day tour you’ll ride a luxury train from Cusco to Puno, one of the most spectacular routes in all of Peru. This is one of the highest passenger trains in the world, and takes you back to the golden age of rail travel. The train passes through spectacular scenery and the highlight of any trip to Peru. On arrival in Puno you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Libertador Puno

DAY 9: Lake Titicaca: Uros and Taquille Islands

Situated four kilometers from Puno, the original inhabitants of these floating islands are said to descend from one of the most ancient peoples of the Americas. On your way back to Puno, stop at Taquile Island, a place where time appears to have stood still. Overnight at Libertador Puno

DAY 10: Transfer to Airport
