DAY 1: Arrive Lima
Arrive at Lima and transfer to your hotel. Guide assistance is included. Overnight at Westin Lima.
DAY 2: Lima City Tour
Spend some time touring Lima city, the Colonial ‘City of Kings’. Visit a number of well-known sites including the Cathedral, the Presidential Palace, the Plaza de Armas and the Catacombs located beneath the San Francisco Convent. Overnight at Westin Lima
DAY 3: Lime to Cusco
Transfer to Lima airport for your outward flight to Cusco. On arrival in Cusco you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Palacio del Inca Cusco
DAY 4: Cusco
Take a sightseeing tour through Cusco, the heart of the Inca Empire. Visit the fascinating
Qorikancha Temple of the Sun, the 12-Angled Rock and the Cathedral, built on the ruins of an Inca Palace. From here head to the archaeological remains located around the city, including the ancient site of Puca Pucara and the Water Temple of Tambomachay. Overnight in Palacio del Inca Cusco
DAY 5: Full day tour of the Sacred Valley
Today, explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The first stop is the village of Pisac, with its famous market. There is free time to wander the colourful market stalls before a typical Andean lunch at a local restaurant. Continue your journey along the River Urubamba, to Ollantaytambo. The town, which is dominated by a giant Inca fortress, is perhaps the best surviving example of Inca town planning and was the scene of a rare Inca victory over the invading Spanish. At the end of the tour you will be transferred to your hotel in the Sacred Valley. Overnight at Tambo del Inca Sacred Valley
DAY 6: Full day Machu Picchu / Return to Cusco
You will be astonished at your first view of Machu Picchu, a stunning display of ancient architecture with incredible surroundings. Enjoy a guided tour of the ruins and monuments such as the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three
Windows and the Cemeteries. Return to Aguas Calientes by bus and onto Cusco, arriving late
evening. Overnight in Palacio del Inca Cusco
DAY 7: Free day Cusco
Spend the day wandering the cobble-stoned streets of the ancient Inca capital. With treasures around every corner, Cusco is a wonderful city to explore on foot. Vibrant markets and stores give the traveller a plethora of shopping opportunities set amongst fine Inca and Spanish colonial architecture. Overnight in Palacio del Inca Cusco
DAY 8:Andean Explorer Train Journey from Cusco
Transfer from your hotel to the train station. During this full-day tour you’ll ride a luxury train from Cusco to Puno, one of the most spectacular routes in all of Peru. This is one of the highest passenger trains in the world, and takes you back to the golden age of rail travel. The train passes through spectacular scenery and the highlight of any trip to Peru. On arrival in Puno you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Libertador Puno
DAY 9: Lake Titicaca: Uros and Taquille Islands
Travelling by semi-speed vessel, begin by visiting the floating islands of Uros, where the friendly locals continue to practice their traditional way of life, living by fishing. Situated four kilometers from Puno, the original inhabitants of these floating islands are said to descend from one of the most ancient peoples of the Americas. On your way back to Puno, stop at Taquile Island, a place where time appears to have stood still. Overnight at Libertador Puno
DAY 10: Transfer to Airport
