These past few weeks I have been struggling with getting over the dreaded “shingles”…the blessing has been that I have had time to think and reflect also I have a significant birthday coming up and realise even more that time waits for no one…so I have committed to walk the 300km Camino de Santiago in Spain, something I have wanted to do for a long time, next September to arrive at the Compostela on my 61st Birthday, the driving force for this is that my mother passed away with Breast Cancer and the tender age of 44, my father passed away just after he turned 60 and I had my brush with Breast Cancer in 2004, so I want to celebrate my 61st birthday for those that were not…

The celebration of my 60th year is by ” doing” not just thinking about “doing”… So the training has commenced, 6kms completed today will be slowly building it up as I will be walking for approximately 21 days..
