For the past 3 months or so I have been battling the terrible virus of shingles, something that I do not want to go through again!!!

During this time I have had a good deal of time off where I was able to think and contemplate life especially with the BIG BIRTHDAY looming…

This year I turn 60, yes I know I only look 40!!!!…during my time convalescing I was reading a book about this woman who was walking the Camino de Santiago, and in an instant I decided to do same, I have wanted to do this for a very long time…yes the 800km Camino de Santiago Walk.

A little background on the reason why I have made this decision… my mother passed away at 44 and my father at 60, it is now over 10 years since my brush with Breast Cancer.

So what am I doing… walking the Camino de Santiago to  arrive at the Compostella (the Cathedral) on my 61st birthday to celebrate LIFE and that LIFE is meant to be lived with no regrets or wants and to realise and that anything and everything can be achieved when you set your heart and mind to it.

Please let me know if you have any knowledge or advice of what I am getting myself into …other than a tough training schedule!!! I am going to be sharing every step of my journey from now until the day of my arrival at the Compostella, don’t worry I will be sharing the celebrations as well!!!
